Virtual Set Design

I created these virtual studios from scratch for WKYC’s newscasts. The sets offered producers and talent a fresh presentation space with elements unavailable to them in the “real” studio. Inspired by the architecture of WKYC’s building, these were built in Cinema 4D and brought into Photoshop and After Effects for further customization and fine-tuning.  From there, PNGs were loaded into the newsroom’s graphics system for producers to use in their shows. These sets were thoughtfully designed to work safely with the on-air graphics package.

Production staff designed an application that allows newscast producers to select from different time and weather scenes to match current conditions.
